Public Participation

My work relies on the belief that public participation, particularly in the early stages of a decision-making process, is necessary to create a smoothly operating and fully supported outcome.  I work with government groups, community organizations, non-profits, and corporations to help them develop plans and share ideas with the public.  In most of my work, I play the role of a neutral third party, convening a group of people to discuss an issue or work on a common goal.

I encourage people to express individual opinions while keeping the group on track toward a solution. My tools include:

  • Analysis of group dynamics
  • Mediation
  • Meeting management
  • Research coordination
  • Plan development
